9 (2007-2008) ANNOUNCEMENT |

The Administration on Aging (AoA) announced in the Federal Register on July 3, 2007 that it will hold a limited competition for Advanced Performance Outcome Measurement Projects (POMP) that will be funded with grant awards. Advanced POMP projects have been designed for the purpose of developing more robust performance outcome measures quantifying program impact in a manner that can be associated with cost. The purpose of this competition is to enhance or expand the existing POMP projects. Grant projects will receive technical support if requested. The full text of the announcement includes further project description and all the instructions necessary to prepare and submit a grant proposal to compete for these project awards.
The deadline date for submission of applications is August 15, 2007.

| NATIONAL SURVEY UPDATE |

Tables from the Second AoA service recipient survey 2004 are now available. This Web site presents an overview and the results of the 2004 AoA Survey of Participants in OAA programs. The purpose of this nationally representative sample survey is to collect information on client satisfaction, consumer assessment of service quality, and consumer reported outcomes of clients participating in OAA state and community programs on aging.

The Home and Community Service Recipients Survey has been finalized
and is now available for downloading at www.pomp6.net.
This is one of the two new performance measurement surveys being developed
